I've been using these filters for many years and they were always great. However, during the past two months I have purchased and returned two series, because they do not fit snugly in the pitcher. Water flows from around the filter into the container entering unfiltered water and black particles with them. I have no idea what other brands I can use instead. These used to be the best in the market and now they are actually "fake Brita filters".
